Dar al-Asl — The house of the origin
Dar al-Asl (“the house of the origin”) is one of the two houses inside Al-Munya. It lodges the guests of the House without charge: the costs fall on Al-Munya, the company that holds the body.

It is not An-Nudama. The ninety-nine founders have a treasury of their own that funds the Riad; they do not have their lodging here.
What it is
Free hospitality, offered and not sold. It exists in Fez, beside the Riad Al-Uns, and in Sicily, beside Al-Funduq as-Siqilli, under the same name and the same rule: no tariff, no list, no right acquired by a membership fee.
Whoever is received here is received because the house so decides, never because he has paid an entry share or because he is among the founders. The separation from An-Nudama keeps hospitality from turning into a members’ privilege.
Apprentices on trial sleep in the dormitories of the House — Riad or Funduq —, never in Al-Munya. Dar al-Asl is not a training wing and does not duplicate the dormitories of the neighbouring house.
What it is not
Not the lodging of the members of An-Nudama.
Not a priced suite nor a hotel extension.
Not a right bought with a founder’s share.
