A single address for the houses and the charter. Stating the subject of the message helps to direct it and shortens the time needed to reply: an application for admission, a commission, an assessment of support, a technical collaboration, a request from scholars or the press.

For an application for admission, a proposal of support, a collaboration or a study of the rule, it is enough to state the subject of the message.

Those who would support. One begins with a letter saying what one would like to support: a workshop, a master, the restoration of a wall. The reply is the dossier of the house.
The master. A master who would teach in one of the two houses writes his craft, the workshop where he learned it, and from whom. The chain counts as much as the piece.
The apprentice. One enters by name, on one’s own application. Each house has written its conditions, and they are read before writing.
The guest. One stays in Al-Munya: in Dār al-Aṣl at the invitation of the community, free of charge; in Dār al-Diyāfa as one of the nudamāʾ or their guests, at one’s own expense. The request may be declined.
The scholar. Whoever would study the rule or carry out research in the houses writes his discipline and his institution; requests pass through the Scientific Committee. See Studying the rule and the Committee.
